740i

This model comes equipped with a 335-horsepower six-cylinder engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive. However, an upgrade to a four-wheel drive system is available.

Standard features include a 10.2-inch touch screen, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, navigation, Apple CarPlay, voice and gesture recognition, HD Radio, satellite radio, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, two USB ports, Bluetooth, Wireless Device Charging, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Keyless Entry Nearby, Remote Start, Soft Closing Doors, Hands-Free Trunk Lid, Four-Zone Automatic Climate Control. Other standard features include leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable 20-way front seats, heated front armrests, heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, rear sun shade, adaptive air suspension, and 18-inch wheels.

Driver assistance features include a surround-view parking camera system, front and rear parking sensors, hands-free parking assist, adaptive LED headlights, and automatic high-beam headlights. The Active Driving Assistant package is also standard, and it combines blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking.

745e xDrive

This model features a 389-horsepower hybrid engine, as well as standard all-wheel drive. Most options are carried over unchanged.

750i xDrive

This model features a 523-horsepower V8 engine and 19-inch wheels. In addition to the above options, the 750i is available with an Executive Rear Seating Package that replaces the center rear seat with a center console with a 7-inch tablet.

The BMW has 18.2 cubic feet of cargo space. The only exception is the 745e, which has a smaller 14.8 cubic feet due to the location of its battery pack. Regardless, both boxes are roomy enough for two suitcases. The rear seats do not fold, but there is a pass-through compartment that makes it easy to accommodate taller items such as skis.

The BMW 740i comes standard with a 335-horsepower turbocharged six-cylinder engine, eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available on the xDrive model. The BMW 745e plug-in hybrid comes with a 389-horsepower hybrid 6-cylinder engine. But even in all-electric mode, it can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in five seconds.

If you want more power, choose one of the high-performance configurations. The BMW 750i and Alpina B7 are equipped with a twin-turbo V8 engine with 523 or 600 hp. The M760i comes with a 601 hp V12 biturbo engine.
